Meet Helix & Sammy
Helix and Sammy live on opposite sides of the garden fence. When Helix discovers what life is really like on Sammy’s side, there begins an adventure of revelations and revolutions…
Every evening, best friends Helix and Sammy meet at the vegetable patch to feast on delicious lettuce. Helix lives on the south side of the garden fence with the stripy-shelled snails and Sammy lives on the north side with the speckle-shelled snails. Helix had always assumed that life for his best friend was as equally blissful until one day he notices how sad Sammy looks and asks him what is wrong. When Helix discovers what life is really like on the other side of the fence, the two friends embark on an adventure of revelations and revolutions…

Nicole is based in Warwickshire. She has loved writing from a very early age, beginning with scripts and re-enactments of short stories to be enjoyed with her friends and family. Her passion led her to study English Literature & Theatre Studies at the University of Warwick and to gain an MA at Central School of Speech and Drama.
As a mother of three little bookworms, Nicole especially loves to write stories that help children to better understand and explore the world in the most fun and imaginative ways possible.
When she’s not reading, writing or daydreaming (preferably with a cat on her lap), Nicole is enjoying the outdoors with her young family.

Based in Berkshire UK, Sam is a Surface Pattern Designer and Illustrator passionate about botanicals and cute characters.
Sam enjoys taking inspiration from nature and is inspired by Beatrix Potter. One of her favourite stories as a child was “The Tale of The Two Bad Mice” which is about two cheeky little mice who have fun exploring and generally making a mess of the children’s dolls house. Getting lost in her illustrations and the little stories she creates in each of them is one of her favourite ways to spend her time; as well as exploring nature with her daughter and super enthusiastic sprocker spaniel, who runs at 100 miles an hour more than she explores!
